Keep Breaking
Release date: May 27th
A song that sounds like Banks meeting Yung Lean over a bottle of Chardonnay.
On May 27, BRDN returns with “Keep Breaking,” a hauntingly lush electro-pop release that blurs the line between fragility and force. Built on the back of a brassy synth pad and sharp electric beat, the track opens with atmospheric restraint before plunging into a chorus that’s both thunderous and emotionally raw, driven by heavy low-end and cinematic textures. Spacious synths, subtle string layers, and intricate sample work give the song its depth, while the chorus—delivered as a duet—evokes a quiet desperation, at once intimate and universal.
Lyrically, “Keep Breaking” is a meditation on time, perception, and the cyclical nature of emotional change. From unspoken regrets to the dents that the passing of times leaves in our perception, the song navigates heartbreak and memory with surgical precision. It follows the surreal tale of a love on the verge of breaking, where past and present are indistinguishable and action and reaction become one.
Despite its glossy production, the track maintains the soul of independent creation—like all releases by BRDN, Keep Breaking is proudly self-released.
With a sound that sits comfortably between experimental pop and emotional electronica, Keep Breaking is poised to resonate with fans of Banks, Fever Ray and Radiohead.

Artist bio
In their blend of alt pop and electronica, artist-producer BRDN (pronounced burden), combines powerful synth-structures and dreamy guitars with soft vocal sequences and driving beats. Superimposed vocals in different vocal colours lay over the music like a broken yet mesmerising veil. Woven soundscapes take the listener to the dark side of introspection: self-doubt and the golden hunt for a purpose melt into musical fever dreams with room for interpretation.
Live-performances, usually presented as a duo, are intimate, “fragile & genuine” and open a direct window into the artist’s inner workings and showcase the artist’s ability to effortlessly jump between genre and tone without losing the core quality of this eclectic project.

Lyrics
Day’s gone
Unnoticed
All that’s left
Is empty frames
Straight to
The cabinet
I stick’em to
The other ones
Disaster
Like clockwork
Like clockwork
If you wanna
Enhance the experience
Pour some warmth on it
Pour some warmth on it
Out danced all doubts
Laughing at the thought
It could come to this
It could come to this
All we see
Is the version
That we want to see
The version
That we need to see
Turn our gaze to the past
And retrace the cracks
Years gone
Unnoticed
All that’s left
A sense of shame
Back to
The drawing board
We blame it
On the other one
Heartbreak
Like clockwork
Like clockwork
The freest will
The brightest minds
United by
The sting of time
If you wanna
Enhance the experience
Pour some warmth on it
Pour some warmth on it
Out danced all doubts
Laughing at the thought
It could come to this
It could come to this
All we see
Is the version
That we want to see
The version
That we need to see
Turn our gaze to the past
And retrace the cracks
