Ascension EP
Release: 04/21
BRDN´s debut EP titled “Ascension” is characterized by alienation, isolation and the slow waning of euphoria. In distorted images, the four tracks describe the inner discourse and the ongoing struggle with the enemy within. If you look closely, you might find a piece of hope that seems to defy the increasing decay.
In the single “White Knights”, BRDN explores the primal instincts of our actions. To what extent are personal decisions embedded in predetermined paths in our life and how far can we distance ourselves from role attributions? Is there still room for “white knights”?
In the song, a wide bass synth meets a sound tapestry of pleading vocals and punchy analog drums.
Artist bio
In his blend of alternative pop and electronica, artist-producer BRDN (pronounced burden) combines powerful synth-structures with soft vocals sequences and driving beats.
Woven soundscapes take the listener to the dark side of introspection: self-doubt and the golden hunt for a purpose melt into musical fever dreams with room for interpretation.
BRDN is involved in every step of the production of his music. Analogue synthesisers are the core of the songs, as do the analogue drums – the only instrument the indie artist does not record himself.
